Last week was a hot one in Oklahoma, but that didn’t stop baseball teams from traveling from all over the state to compete in the PGBA 17U Oklahoma Championships in Norman and Oklahoma City. For Seiling’s Ethan Louthan, it was a big week as he pitched Skills Baseball 17U to two of their five victories in the event.
Seiling’s Hudson Hamer and Jaron Hunter took to Oklahoma City last week to compete with their travel basketball team, 3T’s, in a two-day event that included five games for the squad. Typically, Hamar and Hunter are joined by fellow-Seiling Wildcats Brock Gore and Jacob Colvard, but neither chose to participate this week, leaving only the pair to compete with 3T’s in Mid America Youth Basketball’s Beat the Heat Tournament.
With the summer softball season now complete, the former seventh and eighthgrade Lady Cats hit the hardwood last weekend for their first basketball tournament of the summer in Oklahoma City. Coached by Jeremy Hammons, the eight-girl squad known as NW Prime started off on the right foot, winning five of their six games in the two-day event.
Last weekend was a hot one in Oklahoma, but the triple-digit temperatures didn’t keep three Seiling baseball players from competing with Wake-and-Rake Baseball in Mustang for a weekend tournament. Kaden Manuel, Zane Sander and Alex Aull have been competing with W.A.R. Baseball all summer, and last week in the Mustang 4GG July Shootout, the team ran the table to take home their first title of the season.
