It may not have been their cleanest effort of the season, but last Friday, the Seiling Wildcats were crowned District Champions after they defeated Fargo-Gage/Ft. Supply, 75-50. After defeating Canton on Thursday in a low-scoring contest, the Bearcats took on Seiling the following afternoon in a much different game.

The Seiling Lady Cats took the first step in their quest for a State Tournament last week with a 68-26 victory over Canton in their District Championship. The Lady Tigers advanced to the title game after defeating Fargo-Gage/Ft. Supply on Thursday afternoon in a single-elimination contest.
The Seiling Junior High basketball teams hosted their final games of the year last Monday with the visiting-Thomas Terriers in town. While the girls wrapped up a perfect season with their 42-30 win over Thomas, the boys earned a lopsided 41-19 victory as well.
With the playoffs approaching, the Seiling Wildcats had been clicking on all cylinders since mid-December when they last suffered a defeat. However, with three games on the schedule last week, the Seiling boys saw their winning-streak end at 15 games after falling to Frederick.
A little over two weeks ago, the Lady Cats suffered their first loss of the season in the Bi-County Tournament Championship to the Merritt Oilerettes. Since that loss, Seiling has been on an absolute tear, and wrapped up the season last week with three wins to move to 19-1.
