Trio of Sooners hope to hear names first day of NFL Draft

While the recent pandemic has been shutting down sports of all levels over the past two months, the NFL Draft is still scheduled to take place on April 23-25. For three former-Sooners, that is where they are hoping to hear their names called in the first round of the three-day event. CeeDee Lamb, Kenneth Murray and Neville Gallimore each have a strong case to be picked in the top 32 selections, with Lamb expected to be drafted as high as the top ten. The University of Oklahoma is no stranger to producing first-round talents, having seen 16 former-Sooners drafted in the top round since 2000, including each of the past two number-one overall selections in Baker Mayfield and Kyler Murray. Wide receiver, CeeDee Lamb is expected to be the first of the three to hear his name called after a remarkable career in Norman. The 21-year old Louisiana-native has been one of the top playmakers at Oklahoma since he stepped on campus, and has a strong chance of being the first receiver off the board.
