The Seiling Wildcats traveled to Balko last week for matchup that had major implications to their playoff seeding. With a win against Balko- Forgan, and a subsequent win in Turpin, the Wildcats would have entered the playoffs as the three seed in District B-1 giving them a very favorable path in the first few weeks of the playoffs.

With one week left before the playoffs, the Seiling Wildcats sit at 3-6 and 1-3 in the district with a chance to possibly improve their playoff position with a win this Friday in Turpin. Seiling currently sits at fifth in district, which would pair them with the fourth team in District B-2 in the first round of the postseason.
In surprising move last week, the Oklahoma Secondary School Activities Association made the decision to add a play-in round to playoffs that will allow all football teams that wish to participate an opportunity. The decision comes after questions came up with the legitimacy of district seedings, considering many districts across the state have had games canceled that will help determine those who makes the playoffs and their seed.
The Seiling Wildcats dropped their second consecutive game last Friday in a 55-6 loss to the Shattuck Indians. The Wildcats are now 1-2 in the district and 3-5 overall with two games left in the regular season.
Seiling’s Junior High football team took the field for the final time of the season last Tuesday in Okeene. Fortunately, the Wildcats went out in style as they hammered the Whippets by a score of 34-6.
