Wildcats kick off spring football practice
The Seiling Wildcats kicked off their Spring Football practices last Wednesday as the first step of their off-season program leading up to next fall. Coach Gary Manuel and the Wildcats are coming off a 2018 season in which Seiling went 7-4, including win each of their first seven games and being ranked as high as fourth in Class B.
The Wildcats will look to build on some of the positives that came out of the 2018 campaign, which produced one Class B’s more potent offenses, scoring just over 34 points per contest. A catalyst to Seiling’s offensive success was their ability to be more balanced on offense.
Success on the ground was nothing new for the Wildcats as they amassed 2,674 yards rushing, but they opened things up more in the passing game as well. Seiling threw for just over 1,100 yards in 2018, and Coach Manuel is focusing on continuing to be balanced this off-season.
