Wildcat seniors compete at K101 Classic Bowl
Five of Seiling’s athletes competed in Woodward last week at the K101 Classic Bowls, where top basketball and football players from Northwest Oklahoma, as well as parts of Texas and Kansas are honored for their senior accomplishments. In addition to Harley Waldrep, Kiya Whetstone, Raylee Tautfest, Rhett Gambill and Brock Hedrick all participating, girls’ basketball coach Brady Hamar was also present, as he was named Coach of the Year after the Lady Cats took home an unprecedented fourth-straight Class A State Championship.
On Tuesday, the girls competed on the hardwood in a pair of games. Waldrep leadoff the night for the former-Lady Cats on the white team which was edged out by the red, 52-51. She recorded two steals, two assists and a rebound in the contest, which was indictive of her career at Seiling as a selfless player that was constantly hustling to find any way to help in a winning effort.
