Track teams open seasons with solid runs

Seiling’s track and field teams finally got off and running last week with several solid performances to open the 2019 season.

At the Okeene High School meet, junior Brya Nyberg was the lone placer for the Wildcats as she captured second place in the 800 meters with a time of 2:32.68 and also claimed third in the 400 meters by posting a mark of 1:03.99.

In the junior high meet at Ringwood on Thursday, Seiling performed really well in the relay events, taking first place in the 1600 meters with the grouping of Kenly Gore, Alli Hedges, Isabella Hammons and Braci Nyberg on the way to a third place team finish.
