Top Five Sports Moments for 2019-20 School Year: Baseball momentarily returns to Seiling HS

In the second installment of our five-part series on the top sports moments in Seiling this past year, we take a look at the Wildcats’ return to the diamond this past spring. Of course, the recent pandemic would eventually lead to the season being shut down.

Still, with a new multi-purpose facility that includes four batting cages that will be ready to go when the kids can return to training, it was good to see Seiling back on the field, and competing at a high level.

“Baseball has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember,” said Coach Bryan Gore. “I’ve always competed at a high-level, whether playing or coaching. The first few years I coached here, we put out some good talent, and the excitement was there. Then we hit a patch where we didn’t have enough to always field a team, but this year I felt that excitement was back. Not just for me but for the boys. I felt like we had a chance to be really competitive.”
