Seiling track teams open up the season as High School girls finish 7th in Okeene
The Seiling Wildcats’ track teams kicked off their season with a pair of track meets in Okeene last week. While the junior high kids competed on Monday, the high school teams had their meet bumped up a day, after Friday had possible freezing in the forecast.
Thursday turned out to be much sunnier on the tracks, and the Lady Wildcats’ took advantage by scoring 45 points and finishing seventh on the day.
The Lady Cats dominated the relay events, placing in all four. Their time of 4:32.47 was good enough for sixth place in the mile-relay, while their time of 11:50.71 was the fourth-fastest time in the 3200-meter relay
