Seiling rallies to stop Canton in district final tussle

Last week the Seiling Lady Cats saw their season come to an end with a 55-50 overtime loss to Pond Creek-Hunter. After losing to Frontier on the first day of the Regional Round, Seiling bounced back with a big win over Coyle to set up a Saturday-afternoon matchup with the Lady Panthers.

Unfortunately, the Lady Cats just could not come up with the final win to secure their place in the Area Round next weekend. After winning district the week before, Seiling was inserted into the winner’s bracket where a single Thursday-night victory would advance them to the third weekend.

However, the Lady Cats would have to secure that victory over the 18th-ranked Frontier Lady Mustangs. While Seiling played outstanding defense for most of the night, but they just couldn’t find any success on offense as they were only able to make six shots from the field on the night.
