Seiling Choir receives excellent ratings at state contest
The Seiling Treble Chorus received an Excellent rating in concert at the OSSAA State Vocal Contest in class 2A. They competed at the contest on March 29 at Oklahoma Baptist University in Shawnee. In the concert competition, only three Superior ratings were given to the ten choirs in class 2A. The chorus received a Good rating in the sight reading competition. At an OSSAA contest, a plus or minus cannot be added to the score. Ratings given at an OSSAA contest are as follows: Superior (I), which means Outstanding in nearly every detail; Excellent (II) Rating, which means Above Average; Good (III), rating, which means Average;
Fair (IV); Poor (V). The Seiling Treble Chorus sang the accompanied song, “Dreamer” by Joyce Eilers and the a cappella song, “Sing Alleluia, Allelu” by Mary Goetze. Paula Kiner conducted the choir and Anneva Sander accompanied on the piano. Students singing in the Treble Chorus were: Elena Alonso, Anja Blommengren, Maylee Elkshoulder, Hannah Gregory, Callie Grube, Hayly Grube, Alee Hunt, Jade Johnston, Marissa Lee, Amanda Nascimento, Darla Nelson, Abby Oliver, Tori Rose, Evie Shrum, Jasmine Terrell, Kyndall Tune, Mikayla Webb, and Tori White.
