Penalties, mistakes cost Seiling in Balko-Forgan defeat
The Seiling Wildcats traveled to Balko last week for matchup that had major implications to their playoff seeding. With a win against Balko-Forgan, and a subsequent win in Turpin, the Wildcats would have entered the playoffs as the three seed in District B-1 giving them a very favorable path in the first few weeks of the playoffs.
Unfortunately, Seiling fell 28-10 to drop them to 1-3 in the district and 3-6 overall. It was a game that was low-scoring early on, thanks to a number of costly penalties by the Wildcats.
After getting Bryson Gore back from injury, the Seiling offense was hoping to get a boost. While they were able to move the ball on offense penalties were costly on this night. On the opening drive, a reverse helped get the Wildcats down just outside the Balko 20-yard line.
