Pair of Seiling freshmen compete in OKC tournament

Seiling’s Hudson Hamer and Jaron Hunter took to Oklahoma City last week to compete with their travel basketball team, 3T’s, in a two-day event that included five games for the squad. Typically, Hamar and Hunter are joined by fellow-Seiling Wildcats Brock Gore and Jacob Colvard, but neither chose to participate this week, leaving only the pair to compete with 3T’s in Mid America Youth Basketball’s Beat the Heat Tournament.

Unfortunately, without Gore and Colvard, the team was a bit short-handed at the guard position and it showed as 3T’s was only able to win two of their five contests. To make matters worse, Hunter, the team’s starting point guard turned his ankle in the first game and was hobbled for the remainder of the event.

After dropping their opening game to the Oklahoma Flyers by a score of 48-34, 3T’s took on Next Level Oklahoma on Saturday night. In that game, 3T’s jumped out to an early lead, but Next Level Oklahoma was able to make a late-run in the first half to take a four-point lead into the break.
