Louthan has big week for Skills 17U baseball

Last week was a hot one in Oklahoma, but that didn’t stop baseball teams from traveling from all over the state to compete in the PGBA 17U Oklahoma Championships in Norman and Oklahoma City. For Seiling’s Ethan Louthan, it was a big week as he pitched Skills Baseball 17U to two of their five victories in the event.

The schedule kicked off Wednesday as Louthan took the mound for his team’s opener. The big man collected the win by pitching two innings of scoreless baseball, while giving up one hit and striking out one in 26-pitch outing against the Oklahoma Process 17U.

Louthan also stepped up to plate in the contest and delivered a two-run triple as the Skills Baseball went on to win by a score of 16- 2. Blowouts would become somewhat of a theme of the week for Skills Baseball, but that wouldn’t be the case in their Thursday matchup with MVP Seng 18U.
