Late Wildcat rally topples Tigers, 57-51

Facing their first big adversity of the season and a potential three-game losing skid in the face Saturday afternoon, the Seiling Wildcats answered the call in a big way.

Trailing by as many as 11 points in the second half while missing two key starters, Coach Brandon Nyberg’s youthful squad stepped up to the challenge, rallying for a 57-51 win over Canton. The Homecoming victory got them back in the win column following two straight defeats.

Senior leader Rhett Gambill went down with an injury a night earlier in a loss at Cordell and the Wildcats lost sophomore playmaker Bryson Gore early in Saturday’s contest leaving the Seiling offense completely out of sync.
