Lady Cats third in rain-shortened Shattuck Tourney

After having the early portion of the week off, the Seiling softball team was scheduled to be in Shattuck for three days starting last Thursday. However, rain eventually shifted that event to Saturday for a oneday tournament involving nine teams.

The Lady Cats went on to take two of their three games in the contest, to finish with the third-place hardware at the event. Seiling kicked off the day with a morning matchup against Beaver-Forgan and the Lady Cats rode a pair of big innings to a 12-10 victory over the Lady Dusters.

In the third inning, Seiling made up a two-run deficit with six of their own in the frame. Karlee Combs started the inning by reaching on an error before advancing to second on a sacrifice bunt by Madison Klaver in which she reached safely on another error.
