Lady Cats season ends at regional tournament
The Seiling Lady Cats saw their softball season come to an end last Thursday after loses to the Mooreland Lady Bearcats and Laverne Lady Tigers eliminated them from the playoffs. In the opening game of the four-team bracket, Seiling could get little going against a talented Mooreland team in 14-0 loss.
Seiling didn’t record a hit in the three-inning contest, putting them one loss from elimination. The Lady Cats followed that with a back-and-forth game against Laverne that ended in a series of rallies for the Lady Tigers that resulted in an 11-3 loss.
After Laverne scored in the top of the first, Aryahna Whetstone drove in Madison Klaver to tie the game in the bottom of the third inning. The Lady Tigers got two more in the top of the fourth, but a sacrifice fly by Harli Feaster scored Hannah Gregory to make it 3-2.
