Lady Cats Pull Out Road Win

The Seiling Lady Cats put their top-overall ranking in Class A on the line last week with a pair of games. First up were the Indians of Vici in a game that put Coach Brady Hamar’s girls to the test. The usual-stingy Seiling defense was not up to standard in the first quarter. While the Lady Cats have often put their opponents into an early hole, they found themselves tied after the first quarter 19-19. After that, the Indians turned the tables on the Lady Cats, putting the clamps on defensively.

The Lady Cats only made one basket in the second quarter, while making 3-6 free throw attempts.

That put them down 29-24 heading into the locker room for halftime. “It was a difficult night for us,” Coach Hamar said. “We didn’t shoot the ball very well, and they did.”
