Lady Cats continue success on the track

Last week the Seiling track teams headed to Thomas for a makeup meet on Monday before competing in Ringwood on Saturday. And the Lady Cats continued to prove worthy of their fifth-overall ranking among Class A track teams.

The Lady Cats tallied a total of 94 points in a third-place finish in Thomas. They followed that up with a 90-point, second-place effort in Ringwood.

Shaylin Petty continued to have success in the mid-range races with a pair of individual wins in the 400-meter race. Petty’s time of 1:01.83 in Thomas ranks second in Class A heading into Regionals.

Petty also won the 800-meter race in Thomas, while placing second in Ringwood. Once again, her effort in Thomas earned her a spot on the Class A leaderboard, as she now ranks sixth in Class A with her time of 2:32.04.
