Junior High hoopsters split prior to break
Prior to getting out for Christmas Break, the Seiling Junior High basketball teams played a pair of games in Hammon in a week filled with rescheduled games due to weather. While the Lady Cats were able to pull out a close 32- 29 victory, the boys came up short against the Warriors by a score of 40-14.
Despite having already defeated the Hammon Lady Warriors once earlier in the season, the Seiling girls found themselves in a tough matchup. They held a slim three-point lead at the midway point, and by the end of the third quarter, Hammon had taken a threepoint advantage themselves.
Still, the Lady Cats had a tremendous effort in the final quarter of play, outscoring Hammon 8-2 down the stretch to pull out the narrow victory. Teagan Hamar led the way with ten points, thanks to a 5-8 night at the charity stripe.
