Junior basketballers compete in Fairview league
Last week, Seiling’s junior high basketball girls traveled to Fairview for a two-day summer league involving eight teams. It was the second-straight week the Lady Cats have git the hardwood this summer, after hosting a summer league the week before.
The girls took on Alva Black, Canton and Watonga on Tuesday, as well as Fairview, Alva Gold and Woodward on Wednesday. Scores weren’t kept at the event but just like the prior week, the Lady Cats looked dominant as they continuously controlled the pace of the game with their high-tempo style of play.
“After our first week, we looked really good and coming into (Fairview) we hoped to continue that,” stated Coach Brady Hamar. “The biggest thing is that they continue to improve. They just keep getting better in the areas that we ask them to. They really want (to be good), and they are working hard.”
