Lin Livington has been chosen to be the 2020 Parade Marshall of the 35th Annual Seiling Open Rodeo and is looking forward to spending rodeo week with friends and family. Lin invites everyone to attend the Seiling Open Rodeo July 30th, 31st and August 1st at 8 p.m.
An ongoing battle for Taloga residents whose homes were damaged when the old courthouse was torn down continued last week during the regular Dewey County Commissioners meeting.
This week’s Seiling Chamber of Commerce Yard of the Week belongs to Linda Sander, located on West 6th St. Attractive accents and a clean, well-manicured yard such as this help make Seiling a beautiful town.
The U.S. Census Bureau announced that it will begin following up with households that have not yet responded to the 2020 Census in a small number of locations in July. Based on the current self-response rate of 61.8%, the Census Bureau estimates it will need to visit approximately 56 million addresses to collect responses in person. Because of the scale of this operation, the Census Bureau will begin the work in a few areas before operations begin in earnest across the country.
The Dewey County Fair will again include a Bucket Calf Project.
