The Dewey County Commissioners voted to leave the emergency protocol in place a while longer, at least until courthouse construction is finished. The flooring is to be laid this week and then the vault area has to be cleaned up. After that the Commissioners will decide on lifting the emergency protocol.
Seiling seniors Brya Nyberg and Riley Tune were the 2020 winners of the Annual Trey Decker Scholarship. They are multi-sport athletes and have been involved in the FCA for four years. Nyberg is the 18-year-old daughter of Brandon and Brandi Nyberg and participated in basketball, track, BETA club, student council. She will attend Rogers State to study graphic design and be on the cross country and track team. Tune is the 18-year-old son of Bob and Amy Tune. He participated in football, basketball, baseball, BETA club, FFA and student council and will be attending Northwestern Oklahoma State University and major in Agribusiness.

A $16 billion USDA relief program created to help farmers and ranchers deal with the economic blows dealt by the coronavirus has started accepting applications. However, one commodity prevalent across Oklahoma, hard red winter wheat, will not reap the benefits.
