Town Council prepares for rodeo activities
Seiling’s Town Council took care of business including preparation for the upcoming Seiling Rodeo during its monthly meeting at City Hall last week.
The Council voted unanimously to close Third Street from Pioneer Alley to Main Street on Saturday, August 3 for Annual Rodeo activities. They also approved the Special Event Application from the Seiling Round-Up Club to host the rodeo dance at Murray Park and for patrons to be able to consume alcoholic beverages at Murray Park on Friday, August 2 and Saturday, August 3.
A petition to annex property known as Culliver property was approved. The tract is situated in Lot 5, Section 32, Township 20 North, Range 16 West in Dewey County. A service plan also was approved for the same property.
The group refused to take any action on Ordinance 2019-4, which would have rescinded Ordinance 2009-5 that provided for the assessment and collection of an equipment and training assessment on all municipal traffic offenses in the town of Seiling.
Following discussion, the Council received a motion from Vice-Mayor to add back in the $25 restricted police fund fee while adopting Ordinance 2019-5, which includes court costs, stating court costs, modifying the municipal bail bond schedule.
