Dewey County 4-H Share the Fun Held
The Dewey County 4-H Share the Fun was held at the Seiling school auditorium on December 21, 2019.
There were four individual acts. Raquel Todd received champion with her dance to “Beat It”. Bryonna Lund received reserve champion with her song, “A Thousand Years.” Abby Poulson received a blue award for her piano solo, “Jingle Bells.” Emma Poulson received a blue award for her piano solo, “I Can Show You the World.”
There were three small group acts. Rebekah Gilmore and Kirsten Fennema received champion with their duet, “Snow.” Hannah Gilchrist and Amberly Gilmore received reserve champion with their instrumental duet. Madison Morrison and Aubrey Geddes received a blue award for their duet, “I Want to be an Elf.”
The champion junior large group act was awarded to Abby Poulson, Emma Poulson, Raquel Todd, Rhielan Jackson, Kaison McManus, and Bryonna Lund for their California Raisin song and dance, “Heard it Through the Grapevine.”
The champion senior large group act was awarded to Rylee Manning, Alexis Rogers, Trinity Atteberry, and Evelyn Villegas for their dance, “Tic Tock Dances.”
Ryker Lund, Emma Bailey, and Kambry McManus all received ribbons for their cloverbud acts.
Jean Bailey, county extension educator explains that this program is designed to help 4-H’ers discover their talents, develop them, and have opportunities to share those gifts with others. It helps youth develop leadership, poise, confidence, an appreciation of talent, and interest in special training.
4-H teen leaders Lilly Baker, Leah Baker, Alexis Rogers, Trinity Atteberry, Evelyn Villegas, and Rylee Manning served as emcees and stage hands during the program.
Paula Kiner, Gary Gilchrist, and Brandy Jones volunteered their time and talent to help with sound, lights, and other needs.
