Board gets answers after contentious meeting
Following nearly an hour and a half of often frustrating discussion with new school construction project contractors in their regular March meeting, the Seiling School Board finally got a few answers in a specially called meeting Thursday.
Monday’s meeting was filled with often contentious wrangling between board members and Nabholz Construction spokesman Jonathan Lowry, which seemed to answer very few of the board’s growing concerns about the ever-growing dragging time frame of the new school building.
During the meeting, Lowry continually told board members that the construction people didn’t have a punch list of items that needed to be fixed so were going to “de-immobilize” from the project during the month of April. That drew the heated ire of members Lance Fuqua and Jason Smart, especially from Fuqua who personally toured the building on several occasions during the past month.
