Thank God for the arrogance of political rebellion

The year was 1765, the Parliament of the British Empire had decided they would impose a direct tax on the British colonies on the American continent.

Most printed materials used by the colonies for goods like legal documents, calendars, magazines, or newspapers would have to be produced on stamped paper, produced only in London, with a designated revenue stamp on it.

The Stamp Act of 1765 was to take effect on Nov. 1, 1765.
