Graveside services for Earlene Carol Schafer will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 30, 2020, at the Homestead Cemetery with Rev. Jeremy Parker officiating. Interment is under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home of Alva.

Myrna Faye Hamilton (Brown) of Chester, Oklahoma passed away Tuesday, October 20, 2020. She was preceded in death by her parents, Orville and Mary Brown, and her husband, Eudene Ray Hamilton. She was survived by her daughters, Robin Lynette Alaniz (Ernest) and Carol Leaanne Hamilton, her grandchildren Nick Alaniz (Veronica), Gabriel Alaniz, Christina Benavidez, Janie Noonan, Sarah Gilmer(Ryan), Rillagene Stone and Levi Stone and her great grandchildren Eastlyn Dunn, Rose and Alton Teater, Maxwell Gilmer, David and William Bales and Mia Alaniz. She is also survived by her three brothers Bill Brown (Mary Pat), Donnie Brown and Joe Brown (Cheryl) and by her cousins, nieces and nephews.
Paul D Martin, fourth child of Harry Harvey “Hal” and Nancy “Marie” (Dickens) Martin was born on Tuesday Sept. 12, 1939 at home on the family farm in Dewey County, Oklahoma. Paul’s dad made the land run of 1893 in Major County, OK. He was 68 when Paul was born and two arrived that day. Paul was the youngest by 15 minutes. Paul was proud to be the youngest of the original homesteaders’ children in Oklahoma.
James Eugene Washington, 40, of El Reno, former resident of Seiling, OK, passed from this life on October 8, 2020. He was born to Gilbert and Darlene Washington in Los Angeles, CA on December 19, 1979. He grew up in the Seiling area, and attended Seiling Schools. James was a stay at home dad, raising and caring for his five children Aleilah, Raven , James “J.J.” , Charles , and Ryan with the help of the love of his life Dorcas Blackbear. The couple made their home in Seiling until recently moving to El Reno.
Kent Terrel was born on December 29, 1940, to Lenn and Reka Terrel and departed his earthly life on October 8, 2020. He was born and raised in Cestos, Oklahoma. Kent attended Richmond School and Seiling High School, where he graduated in 1959. He attended Panhandle State University as well as Northwestern Oklahoma State University. Kent married Cathy (Davidson) Terrel on January 30th, 1964. Kent and Cathy settled in Cestos, where they raised three children. Kent was a cattle and wheat farmer and a talented carpenter. He was a member of the First Christian Church of Seiling where he served as an elder for many years. He dressed as Santa Claus for friends and family every Christmas. He enjoyed farming, hunting, fishing, sports, and most of all spending time with his grandchildren.
