Wildcats heat up after close call to start the week

The Seiling Wildcats started the week with a nailbiter that saw them hold on to their undefeated record by a single point against Cashion.

The 61-60 victory was their second straight win with a margin in the single-digits, which meant a weekend trip to the Bi-County Basketball Classic in Elk City might be coming when Coach Brandon Nyberg’s boys were at their most vulnerable.

The Wildcats kicked off the tournament with a matchup against the Sweetwater Bulldogs, and Seiling looked anything but vulnerable opening up a 32-point lead by the end of the first half. In the second half, Seiling played like a team that had something to prove holding the Bulldogs to only 13 points, and Coach Brandon Nyberg’s boys were off to a good start in the tournament.
